JainBandhu is a free Jain matrimony website built for Jain families who want to find a life partner within the community. You can create a profile, search Jain brides and grooms by sect, sub-caste, gotra and horoscope details, and speak to a family only once both sides have shown interest. There is no membership fee and no paid plan.

What makes Jain matchmaking different

Most general matrimonial sites treat community as one filter among many. For a Jain marriage it is usually the starting point, and the details that matter are finer than a single checkbox. A family looking for a match will often want to know the sect first, then the sub-caste, then the gotra — because marriage within the same gotra is traditionally avoided — and then practical things like native place and mother tongue.

A Jain matrimonial search also carries dietary expectations that are stricter than vegetarian. Many Jain families keep to a diet without root vegetables, and some observe it more strictly than others. It is far easier to be clear about this at the profile stage than to discover a mismatch after two families have already met.

Digambar and Shwetambar

The two major traditions have their own customs, festivals and temple practices, and most families look within their own. JainBandhu lets you filter by sect so a Digambar family is not sifting through Shwetambar profiles and the other way round. Within each, you can narrow further by sub-caste, which matters a great deal in some regions and very little in others — so it is a filter, not a requirement.

Kundli and 36 guna matching

Many Jain families still ask for a horoscope match before a meeting. JainBandhu includes an indicative kundli matching check based on the traditional 36 guna system, along with manglik, rashi and nakshatra details on the profile. Treat the score as a starting point for a conversation with your own family astrologer rather than a verdict — it is there to save you a step, not to replace anyone's judgement.

How JainBandhu works

• Create a profile. Your name, sect, sub-caste, gotra, education, occupation and a photo. A profile without a photo is not shown in search results, so it is worth adding one.
• Search Jain brides and grooms. Filter by sect, sub-caste, city, age, diet, marital status and manglik status.
• Send an interest. Nothing is shared until the other side accepts. Contact details are exchanged only when both families agree.
• Verify who you are talking to. Members can submit an ID document for a verified badge. The document is deleted from the server as soon as the check is done.

Your privacy, and who can see what

You choose whether your photo and biodata are visible to all members, to members you have connected with, or to nobody at all. Phone numbers and email addresses are never shown on a profile. An identity document, if you submit one, is seen only by the administrator and then deleted — we do not keep KYC proofs on file.

Is it really a free Jain matrimony site?

Yes. There is no membership fee, no premium tier and no charge to contact another member. JainBandhu is run by volunteers from within the Jain community rather than as a business, which is why there is nothing to upgrade to. If you have been asked to pay for anything on this site, it did not come from us.
